With only one match in the league stage, which will take place between UP Warriorz (UPW) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday (February 1), all three teams still have a mathematical chance to qualify.

Only one of the three teams will qualify, with MI having no control over their fate as they have played all their league stage games. Whoever qualifies will face GG in the eliminator on Tuesday (February 3). The winner of that clash, RCB in the final on Thursday (February 5).

DC – The Capitals will qualify for the eliminator if they beat UPW on Sunday, and the margin will not matter.

The Abhishek Nayyar-coached team needs to win by around 156 runs (depending on the score) if they bat first. If they bowl first, they need to chase the total in less than two overs.

MI – If UPW beats DC and it is not by the above-mentioned margin, the defending champion will qualify. If he Capitals win, MI will be knocked out.

This will mark the first season in which at least one of MI or DC do not qualify. Both teams made the playoffs in each of the first three seasons.
